What’s included in a stereo install
Every stereo install is quoted for your exact vehicle, so the price covers what your car actually needs to look and work like it came from the factory.
- The head unit you choose. Touchscreen receivers from Alpine, Sony, JBL and more, with wired or wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Vehicle-specific dash kit and wiring. Trim that fits your dash and a wiring harness made for your vehicle, so nothing is cut or spliced into factory wiring.
- Steering wheel control interface. Your volume, track and call buttons keep working.
- Factory feature retention. Backup cameras, USB ports and other factory features kept wherever possible.
- Mic and USB placement. The hands-free mic and USB routed where they’re easy to use.
- Setup and walkthrough. We pair your phone, set up CarPlay or Android Auto, and show you around before you leave.
Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
CarPlay and Android Auto put maps, music, messages and calls on a screen you can actually use while driving. We install both wired and wireless units, including larger floating screens for trucks and Jeeps.
If you love your factory dash, a CarPlay add-on kit can sometimes add CarPlay to the screen you already have. One customer had CarPlay added to a 2017 Lexus RX350 this way, and the dash looks untouched.
What affects the price
- Your vehicle. Some vehicles need extra parts to keep factory amplifiers, climate controls or warning chimes working.
- The head unit. Screen size, wireless CarPlay and brand all change the price.
- Add-ons. A backup camera, extra USB ports or a dash cam installed at the same time.
On average, parts and labor for a wired CarPlay system run around $700, and a wireless CarPlay system runs around $1,000. Text us your year, make and model and we’ll send a straight, free quote with your options.
